Shiyu Kusanagi

Kusanagi is a member of the Japanese pseudo-army (they have a
"defense force;" Japan is prohibited from having an army since
World War II) and is a kind-hearted, gentle man. He is in tune
with nature, and can apparently speak to trees. This is not
surprising- they can probably really relate to him, seeing as how
he shares a personality with them. He and Fuuma (part I) vie for
the title of "least interesting X character." He talks to Yuzuriha
a lot, and complains that people don't respect nature. He saved
Kotori from being killed by Satsuki (fat lot of good that did),
which was his only real action since the beginning. Now he just
mopes around, a ridiculously nice guy on the team that wants to
destroy the world. Loser.
The only thing interesting about him is that as the story
goes on he spends more time with Yuzuriha, which strikes me as
asking to be arrested. He’s making nice to a 14 year old. I mean,
how creepy is that?
