Aoki Seiichirou

Seiichirou Aoki is a goofy-looking guy who works for a local magazine, and does cool
stuff with wind on a larger scale than Daisuke. He stutters, looks confused, and generally
acts like he doesn't know what the hell is going on half the time. The other half of the
time...well, okay, so he acts like that all the time. He thrashes some curse zombies with
Arashi when he first shows up and then proceeds to do jack for the next ten mangas or so,
though he eventually takes a more active role later. He's Daisuke's uncle (they're from a
family of windmasters) and seems like a pretty cool guy.
Seiichirou has been going through some pretty heavy-duty character development lately
(get ON with it, CLAMP!) for about forty consecutive Asuka issues, because he’s got a
crush on Karen. Okay, maybe they’re in love too. Of course, Seii-san is married and has a
child, but apparently neither of them, nor CLAMP, seems to care about this minor fact.
He showed up to save Karen from Yuuto (though Karen was kicking ass all by herself, if
you ask me), which was pretty sweet. In the anime, he’s actually gotten a divorce... or
something like that, I dunno, I haven’t seen any of it. Anyway, much as I like Seiichirou,
CLAMP has really got to get off their asses and move on with the story. Or at least kill
someone to make it interesting.
